Piccadilly Methodist Church – PC Kew

As Pastor of Piccadilly Methodist Church it was an honour and a privilege to be at the unveiling of the memorial for PC Kew. He was the last serving police officer to be shot on duty in our area. He gave his life in service 123 years ago. He was a valued member of the community. Piccadilly Methodist Church was his local place of worship and the place where two of his children were baptised having moved into the area from outside to serve. He lost his life a short distance from the church and his memorial is situated on the road just down the road that caries his name. A timely reminder to us all of the sacrifice give for us by those who serve. Pastor Ed
