Litter Pick – Girls' Brigade + Boys' Brigade

As we have wrapped up the month of May we’ve looked back on our Family Fun Church at Broom and Central where we explored challenging injustice following the Methodist Way of life. However, our uniformed organisations have also been joining in on supporting our churches.

At Central Methodist Church, a Girls’ Brigade and Boys’ Brigade meet once a week and this month they have both organised litter picks around their community. There was a recognised need to help challenge those who litter and a litter pick was the most effective way to help and get both groups and leaders involved. This isn’t something that is done once – both groups will continue to do litter picks throughout the year (following last year) to help teach and spread the message that we are actively challenging injustice in whatever ways we can.
