Family Fun Church at Broom Methodist Church – 01/10/23

Recently at Family Fun Church we have been breaking down the 'Methodist Way of Life' and spending time each month looking at each practice! This month we have been looking at 'Open' and we can practise generosity in this time of Harvest.

During our worship we explored Harvest and what that means for people at this time of year. What can we do to be generous at this time? We also shared what some of our Churches were also doing and how we can be involved. Following this we had a devotional activity where everyone was encouraged to write a prayer on a paper sunflower petal and at the end we came together to create a beautiful flower made up of all the prayer petals.

After the worship we all came together to share in a meal provided by our amazing catering team at Broom! We spent this time building new friendships with one another and continuing discussion from our worship before getting involved in craft.

This month we made handprint pumpkins for a Family Church Pumpkin Patch collage! With this craft we wanted to emphasise visually that we all bring something different to our Churches and each of those gifts are valued and when put together can make a big impact. This can be seen in all of our uniquely made pumpkins displayed in our Pumpkin Patch!
